Literacy for Rights program - Women agricultural workers Gender Just Climate Solutions Award at COP27

In recognition of its leadership in advancing labor rights and climate justice for women cotton workers, SCF received the Gender Just Climate Solutions Award at COP27 (Egypt)—becoming the first Pakistani organization to receive this prestigious global honor. The award acknowledged SCF's pioneering work in integrating climate resilience with labor rights, occupational health, and gender justice for marginalized women agricultural workers in Sindh.

Furthermore, SCF's flagship "Literacy for Rights" program for women agricultural workers was officially recognized as a Best Practice Initiative by the Directorate of Literacy and Non-Formal Education, Government of Sindh. The program has empowered hundreds of women cotton workers with literacy, numeracy, wage calculation skills, and awareness of the Sindh Women Agricultural Workers Act (2019), enabling them to negotiate fair wages, demand safe working conditions, and actively participate in trade union leadership and community decision-making processes.
